Bank Manager gets 3-years Imprisonment for Stealing over Rs 10-L from ATM
Bank Manager of Canara Bank gets 3 years Rigorous Imprisonment for misappropriation of bank amount of Rs.10,34,500/- from the ATM at Saroornagar PS limits, Rachakonda. The accused persons V.Bhaskar Rao, 54 yrs, Punneganti Sesha Talapa Sai, 47 yrs and Kurva Nagappa, 37 yrs being the employees of same bank and branch of dilsukhnagar.
while inserting the cash in ATM at the time of servicing or on their convenient time on different dates in between 26-02-2007 to 01-06-2007, The accused Bhaskar is the Manager who looks after the day to day transactions of the ATM and first key holder of ATM cash cabinet. The A2 sesha talapa is a Bank Officer having second key holder of ATM cabinet. They have individual passwords while opening the ATM cabinet. A3 Nagappa is also a bank officer and he look after ATM transactions in the absence or on the leave of A2. In 2008 the case against A2 and A3 was quashed by the Hon’ble High Court.
During the trial, the Hon’ble VI Addl.M.M at L. B Nagar convicted the accused A1 V.Bhaskar Rao to undergo 3 years Rigorous Imprisonment and imposed fine of Rs.10,000/-.
