Election Observer Harpreet Singh inspects Polling stations
Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy, Hyderabad Legislative Council (MLC) elections should be held in a peaceful atmosphere, in this view officials to provide adequate facilities said, Biennial Elections observer Harpreet Singh. On Sunday Harpreet Singh made a visit several polling stations in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district and inspected the election arrangements at Bhavans Ramakrishna Vidyalaya, Abdulkalam Auditorium and Dronacharya Sports Complex located in Sainikpuri.
Later, along with Observer Harpreet Singh, Shweta Mohanty District Collector, Malkajgiri, conducted a training program here at Ramakrishna Vidyalaya, for the presiding and assistant presiding officers participating in the MLC election duties. He explained that it was the responsibility of the Presiding and Assistant Presiding Officers as well as the staff to ensure that everyone had any doubts in the training to follow the government guidelines during the elections, to clear them up and perform their duties properly and without any hassle during polling.
Medical – Malkajgiri District Collector Shweta Mohanty said that Covid protocols should be strictly followed at the polling stations and wheelchairs should be made available for the disabled. The Collector further said micro-observers and route officers have been appointed and arrangements were made for webcasting at every polling station. The Collector directed the officers to deploy special police forces and police teams to conduct the MLC elections in a peaceful atmosphere.
