Rescued 19 Minor labour Children
RESCUED (19) MINOR LABOUR CHILDREN REPATRIATED, WHO WERE DETAINED & EXPLOITED FOR LABOUR WORK IN BANGLE MAKING HOUSES AT ERRAKUNTA, BALAPUR PS LIMITS TO THEIR NATIVE PLACE (BIHAR)
On 05.10.2020 at 0700 hours on credible information sleuths of Balapur Police, Childline, DCPU and Bachpan Bachavo Andolan have conducted rescue operation at Errakunta village in the limits of Balapur Police Station, Rachakonda and rescued (20) children native of Bihar State and working in the bangle making center. Upon, on the complaint of protection officer (NIC) District child protection unit registered a case in Crime No. 519/2020 U/sec 370(A), 374 IPC, Sec 79 of Juvenile Justice Act and Sec 14 of Child Labour Act & Sec 18 of Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act against the employer for exploitation of (20) children of age between 8 years to 18 years for labour work such as making bangles, fixing chamki’s and stones to the bangles at Errakunta village, Balapur Mandal. The accused persons Mohammad Thoufiq, Mohammad Sarfaraj, Mohammad Mujahid, Mohammad Imtiyaz and Mano Devi r/o Bihar State have detained the children in a room and engaged them in doing the above work. On 05.10.2020 the accused A1 to A5 arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Subsequently the rescued children shifted to Government Home for Boys at Saidabad, Hyderabad and facilitate to them. After completion of investigation in above case, Today i.e. 10.03.2021 the rescued children (19) are repatriating by train to their native place (From Secendrabad to Dhanapur, Bihar State) to hand over them to their parents under the escort of P. Krishna Reddy-SI of Police, PC-4914 of Balapur PS, 1-RSI, 1-ARSI, 3-ARPCs by coordinating with Child welfare officers (02) and provided food facilities as well as sanitizers, masks and other medical equipments by the Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda for averting spreading for Covid-19.
